Skavlan is a Norwegian-Swedish television talk show hosted by Norwegian journalist Fredrik Skavlan. It premièred in Sweden on Sveriges Television (SVT) in January 2009 and the first guests to appear on the show were former Prime Minister of Sweden Göran Persson and his wife Anitra Steen. On 8 May 2009, it was announced that Skavlan had been renewed for a second season. It was also announced that the show would no longer only be produced by SVT in Sweden; Skavlan would now be partly produced in Norway by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). The first twelve episodes of Skavlan's second season were produced by SVT in Sweden, and the remaining twelve by NRK in Norway.
All four ABBA members have been guests on the show (individually!).
Björn appeared on the show for the first time in 2012 and was interviewed by host Fredrik Skavlan.
He mentioned that he was fat in the pictures from Brighton, but that he was dieting to get thin ("thin as a sewing thread") because he couldn't be a pop-star and fat. He said it was easier for American and British pop stars to avoid eating since they had drugs that made them not hungry. But ABBA were nice Swedes and didn't do that sort of thing so it was hard for him to lose weight.
Björn then talked about religion and the importance of keeping religion out of politics and other secular parts of society and that he personally had no religious beliefs at all.
Swedish TV personality Ulrika Jonsson (very well known in the UK) was also on the programme.
