Directed by Lasse Hallström.

The party footage was shot at the same time as that of the Super Trouper PROMO at Europa Film Studios, Tappvägen 24, Stockholm - with the circus performers being replaced by balloons. The footage of Björn and Agnetha was taken in Lasse Hallström's old Stockholm apartment in Karlavägen.  The close-up singing shots (in the pink/purple/blue shiny suits) were filmed in the Polar Music offices, Baldersgatan 1, Stockholm, Sweden.

The party footage in the PROMOs for Super Trouper, Felicidad and Happy New Year differs from each other slightly.  Even more different footage was shown briefly in Words and Music.

An official "Millenium edit" PROMO was produced at the end of 1999 as one of Polygram's last projects. It was used for the 1999 single.

ABBA wore the pink/purple/lilac/burgundy silk suits they had first worn in the Felicidad PROMO as well as for Show Express, Stars and that Björn had worn for Aplauso.  

Amazingly, in 2020, a video collector stumbled across unseen footage/outtakes from the Happy New Year and Felicidad PROMOS and a few seconds were shared in the late summer of 2020.  On 31 December 2020, 2 minutes of footage was shared on YouTube.  We had never seen footage like this before, it was a real treat.

On Friday 2 December 2022, a new Official Lyric video was released across social media platforms.
