Frida appeared as a special guest performing The Sun Will Shine Again at Jon Lord's concert Beyond The Notes LIVE.  Beyond the Notes was the name of his latest album.  At the end of Frida's performance, fans rushed to the front to hand her flowers. Frida said a few words thanking the orchestra but giving a special thank you to Jon Lord's wife Vicky who had helped her "over a lot of hurdles" and said it was thanks to her and Jon that she was there today.

The concert was filmed for an official DVD release which is available from Amazon Germany. Footage of Frida arriving at the venue and watching the rehearsals is included on this DVD in a Making Of bonus feature.  Images are included above.

Another of the bonus features was an interview with Jon Lord.  One of the questions wass, "You have several guest artists who've worked with you on your album. How did Frida come to sing  The Sun Will Shine Again?"  Jon's response was, "Well, we became friends first, a few years ago - and I think that is why. Once we'd become friends, she actually asked me if I'd write a song for her. She'd been going through a very difficult period in her life - a very sad, sad time (referring to the loss of both her daughter (1998) and husband (1999) within the space of 2 years) - and she was coming out of that and felt then that she might want to sing agin and would I write a song?  Easier said than done, you know, when you've got a voice that is that well-known and that specific and that good - I have to say, she's got the most glorious voice.  So I said, "yes" but then took about three years doing it!  And only really found the right song just a few months ago and played it to her and luckily she liked it."

Apparently in the afternoon before the concert, Jon Lord and Frida were seen filming an interview together and this was suspected to be included on the DVD - but it wasn't.  It must have been for RTL Morgenmagazin.
