Die Drehscheibe was a daily tabloid magazine broadcast by ZDF Germany which ran from from 1 April 1964 to March 1982 in the early evening and contained 5,146 Episodes.
The show dealt with topical issues from politics, culture, business and society and there was a window for regional news and other countries and music.
The Hep Stars performed Malaika and as the Malaika single was released Spring 1967, this is probably the filming date.
By the way Malaika is the most popular song in Kenya in the Swahili language (in English means Angel) and originally was recorded by the Fadhili William and his band Jambo Boys in Kenya (1960), then (among others) performed by Pete Seeger (1965), Miriam Makeba and Harry Belafontein (1975), Boney M (1981), Rocco Granata and Angelique Kidjo (2001).
