Benny contributed to the music for this film.  The Original Soundtrack was performed by the Soviet Film Sympony Orchestra. Most of the music in the film was actually composed and arranged by Anders Eljas who approached Benny to work with him on the film soundtrack. Benny agreed and worked with Anders on the musical score and producing the arrangements for the film.

The album featured the Benny and Björn compsosition Mio Min Mio (the Swedish version of Mio My Mio available on Gemini's second album, Geminism).

Benny originally intended to write most of the music but in the end he only wrote four pieces:

  1. The Journey to the Land of Faraway (with Anders Eljas)
  2. Herdens Flöjt No.1 och No.2 (The Shepherd's Flute No.1 and No.2)
  3. The Reunion (with Anders Eljas)
  4. Mio Min Mio (with lyrics by Björn)

A Russian version of Mio Min Mio was also recorded by Karin Glenmark.

The film starred Christopher Lee, Susannah York, Timothy Bottoms, a young Christian Bale (a future Batman) and a young Nick Pickard (who would go on to become the longest-serving cast member of UK soap, Hollyoaks).

The film was also known as the following:
Mio, Moj Mio (Russia)
The Land Of Faraway

Plot description:
Fantasy film following a young boy on his journey to find the father he's never known. Young Bosse sets off to find the father he's been without and finds that his dad is actually The King Of Faraway. Bosse is re-named Prince Mio and sets off, in his new magic cloak, on a series of adventures in the Forest of Mysteries. He soon finds himself playing for the white side in a battle of good versus evil against the Evil Knight Kato. A score by Benny out of Abba and an all star cast including Christian Bale, Christopher Lee and Susannah York add to this forgotten '80s fantasy adventure.
