Apparently Midi-Première was always broadcast live from a different French city every day and was a variety show around 26 minutes long.
ABBA appeared on the show and Fernando was performed to playback in front of what must be the ugliest background ever designed.
The "gypsy" dresses look like they are based on a kind of Hungarian embroidery known as matyó. The shirts that Benny and Björn are wearing are definitely "matyó" style - the dresses are not necessarily "matyó", but the embroidery/needlework itself is. This would appear to be the only time all four of them wore the "gyspy-style".
