THIS WAS NEVER SHOWN ON TV - ONLY INCLUDING HERE FOR INFORMATION AS IT *WAS* PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT IT WAS BROADCAST.
ABBA had their own concert (aprox. 30 minutes) at the Momarken-stage in Mysen, Norway, on Friday 31 August 1973. This was their only concert outside Sweden during their Folkpark Tour that summer.
Ring Ring (probably the original English version) was performed with all profits going to the Red Cross as always. They performed as "Agnetha, Benny, Björn and Anni-Frid".
According to Arild J. Bodahl, Director of Momarkedet/Red Cross, it was not shown on TV.
In fact, the televised program from Momarkedet in 1973 took place on 25 August 1973 (always the last Saturday of August) and featured the Chinese State Circus. There was no musical act on the TV show from Momarkedet in 1973.
To back this up, there is no record of the programme in the TV archives and a search of newspaper (VG) archieves for Friday 31 August 1973 does not include Momarkedet on that evening's TV listings - nor for the following night.
So it would seem this was not broadcast on TV at all - and probably not even filmed.
The above photos are from Momarkedet backstage before (with Knut Lee, the producer of the shows), during and after the event.
Lyrics available on the Official ABBA site.
