In late 1966 Swedish Television showed a number of short programs with Swedish beat bands, like The Spotnicks, Tages and The Hep Stars. They were the hosts of some episodes and also presented some rising young bands.

This program series was called Popsan and ran from 7 Oktober 1966 to 6 December 1966 and consisted of 10 episodes all together. (Popsan is not a proper word but a play on words that's impossible to translate accurately. The word "hoppsan" means "oops", so if you take out the "hopp" and add "pop", you have Popsan!).

Popsan is not archived separately in SVT’s archive catalogue but as a part of the programme Jazzteknik. It is also not billed separately, with a separate starting time, in the TV listings. Popsan was always broadcast immediately following Jazzteknik, as part of the same time-slot in the TV listings.

The Hep Stars hosted three of these ten programs – parts 2, 5 and 8 – and also performed on stage on the following broadcast dates:

As the same girl appeared all three episodes in the audience, it indicates that all three were filmed on the same day.
