On Tuesday 26 July 2022, England's Women's football team beat Sweden 4-0 in the UEFA Women's Euro semi-final.

A couple of days later, Björn appeared in a video on ABBA Voyage's Instagram page wearing a Sweden team football shirt and sending a brief message to the England's "Lionesses", saying: "Dear Lionesses, I am Björn from ABBA and I understand that you have celebrated your well-earned victory the other day with ABBA music, and I have to say that makes the defeat a little easier to bear, so congratulations!"
