Background
There was an an old restaurant/dance venue on Slottsholmen in the district of Västervik (where Björn grew up and close to where the Västervik Song Festival takes place) which had been decaying for many years.  It was demolished and Björn got involved. There was a plan to erect something called Visans Hus (“The Song House”), because of the connection to the Song Festival, but those plans fell through.  In 2010, Björn bought the land and decided to erect a larger building that would house apartments, a hotel business, a cafe, restaurant, conference centre and other public activities.  The project has had several setbacks over the years in terms of permissions etc but the project was given the go-ahead. In May 2016, Björn announced that he would no longer be as active in the project although he would still be a partner. The project was due to be completed by summer 2017 although work was delayed because of the condition of the soil under the water. As of Spring 2018, the building work is nearing completion.

There has been some controversy as, apparently, the original permission for building something on the site stipulated that it couldn't be residental, and yet it has ended up being an apartment building and Björn and Alm equity, the real estate company in partnership with Björn, have ended up making an estimated 43 million SEK on the deal.  The politics of how this was allowed to happen was covered in the programme Uppdrag Granskning.  Björn has said he would donate that money to cultural community projects in Västervik.
