Additional information

Benny apeared on this show with BAO! and Helen Sjöholm where they performed the winner of the viewer's vote in the Babel Song Contest, a concept created by Babel producer Marie Nyreröd.

The winning lyrics to Benny's composition and which were sung by Helen were penned by Horace Engdahl, a Professor of Scandinavian Literature and a member of the Swedish Academy.  His song was Nyårsballongen (New Year’s Balloon).

Programme host Jessika Gedin announced the winner and there was a lengthy interview with winner Horace, with Helen and Benny. Horace paid Helen a huge compliment which left her visibily stunned and speechless.  He said, "You turn my scribbles into art. Hearing you sing the lyrics is like watching a black and white picture turn to colour.”

The song was unlikely to be released as a single but Benny said it should appear on the next BAO! album.

The ten contestant writers that were all invited to participate were all book authors, columnists, journalists, critics etc but none of them were none as song-writers/lricists. All of the author segments were pre-recorded during the previous winter on location in the contestant's homes or locality.  Helen's interpretations for the weekly episodes were pre-recorded in about three sessions at the Mono Music studios.
