Friday People was a weekly entertainment programme hosted by DJ Mike Smith.

In this edition, there was a report from the Chess press conference and launch of the stage show Chess.

  1. Interview with Philip Michael Thomas and Don Johnson (actors from the a new upcoming TV series called Miami Vice)
  2. A backstage report about Paul Young arriving in Cologne for a TV appearance on Känguru (Agnetha also filmed two songs for this show in March 1985).

  4. Valentine's Day greetings from some British celebrities.
  5. Sarah Greene (presenter Mike Smith's wife) interviewed Russ Abbot about his return to musical comedy Little Me.
  6. A report by Jan Ravens from the Chess party to celebrate I Know Him So Well getting to No.1 in the UK and where they also announced the stage version of Chess. There were brief interviews with Tim Rice, Elaine Paige, Björn and Barbara Dickson. Judy Craymer attended the party also but was not included in this report.
