Einer wird gewinnen was a very famous game show hosted by German TV personality Hans-Joachim Kulenkampff. The abbreviation "EWG" is the same as for "Europäische Wirtschafts-Gemeinschaft" (European Economic Community) - the predecessor of the European Union. So the quiz-show had candidates from different European countries: eight competitors from different countries played in four rounds for the main prize. The series ran for three months from 25 January 1964 to 1998 on Saturday evenings and contains 92 Episodes.
