Additional information

Ginza Now! (ぎんざNOW!) was an information programme, run from 2 October 1972 to 28 September 1979 on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) in LIVE from Monday to Friday. In that time the programme was in 30 minutes.

ABBA appeared on this TV programme and performed (mimed) Summer Night City. They also gave prizes to winners of a "Welcome ABBA" disco dance competition.

A previous small interview was shown where they each signed a greeting to the viewers of Ginza Now (you can see Benny drawing his little man holding the balloon) and each signed a copy of ABBA - The Album.

A brief tour around Polar Music Studios ws shown along with a clip of Dancing Queen was also shown from 1976. Benny said he was happy to be in Japan on their programme and that they hoped to be back soon for a concert tour. He was asked how this visit differed from his previous visit 6 years previously and he said that now he was recognised. Agnetha said it was very nice to be on their show and that she would miss the fans when they go back to Sweden. Frida said, "Lots of love to the audience and all the viewers of Ginza Now programme from Frida". Björn spoke in Swedish and said, "we love you!". (Agnetha and Frida's words were shown over the footage of the Polar Studio tour so you don't see them speaking, you only heard them).

Agnetha was wearing her Tio Ar Med Agnetha cream satin blouse with matching trousers.  She would also wear the blouse briefly in the When All Is Said and Done PROMO three years later.

The presenters were Toshiro Abe (an ex-band member) and Koppe.

At the end of the programme some text about ABBA appeared on the screen. It can be translated as follows:

1972 She's My Kind of Girl was a big hit in Japan!
Agnetha and Anni-Frid were still just backing chorus at that time!
The same year they came to Japan for the World Popular Song Festival
