Additional information

Music Fair (ミュージックフェア) aired weekly on Fuji Television from 31 August 1964 to the present day and it has been loved by fans throughout the years. In fact, the show has been aired over 2,400 times thus far, in over 48 years, so it is the longest-running Japanese music show. In those years the show was presented on every Tuesday evening.

This is the programme where the mysterious DVD cover (at the time of its release in 1999) of The Winner Takes It All - The ABBA Story comes from (image is from Thank You For The Music).

ABBA performed:

  1. Dancing Queen
  2. Take A Chance On Me
  3. Interviewed by Hiroyuki Nagato and Yoko Minamida (a married couple - Yoko died in 2009)
  4. Summer Night City
  5. Thank You For The Music

It's difficult to transcribe/translate because the questions are asked in Japanese, and then asked in English I guess (can't hear) to ABBA. But their answers are clear, so you can just imagine the questions:

Björn: "We started as a group around '73"
Agnetha: "That's our initials of our first names"
Benny: "I think the most appealing point is standing in the middle here!"
Björn: "We do it in the studio usually to put one harmony on top of the other until it sounds right"
