Young Nation, was part of the youth segment of the Friday edition of BBC's Current Affair programme, Nationwide. The complete report and interview no long exists in the BBC archives.
Footage of ABBA arriving at Heathrow Airport, being transported to central London by helicopter and then being taken by car to the Albert Bridge for a Arrival promotional photo session has been widely used in other programmes over the years, but it appears here in its original form for Young Nation.
A short interview in the car is light-hearted and jolly but the studio interview is stiff and awkward but with some fascinating answers. For example, they are asked where they will be in 30 years time (ie. now!). Benny and Björn demonstrate how they write a song together on the piano and guitar.
This interview was a very welcome surprise included in the CD/DVD Arrival Deluxe Edition released in October 2006. A video copy was found in the Polar music international archives (as above, they are not in the BBC archives).
The interviewer (Maggie Norden (daughter of the UK's original It'll Be Alright on the Night presenter, Denis Norden)) talks to ABBA, especially the girls, in a very condescending manner which is pretty annoying.
The male presenter introducing the section was Lionel Morton (an ex-presenter of children's programme, Play School).
At some point while in the car, ABBA found time to film a few seconds for the Arrival commercials.
