Domino was a short-lived but successful weekly music series on channel A2, which started on 7 March 1974 and finished on 27 June1974 and consisted of only 14 episodes. It featured French and international stars and was aired on Thursday evenings, in an approximately one-hour programme presented by Guy Lux and Sophie Darel.
Episode 6 - ABBA performed Waterloo to playback (although listen carefully and you can hear live vocals over the backing track). French singing star Sacha Distel was also a guest on the programme.
Guy Lux introduces their performance as "exclusive, for the first time on French TV, the Swedish group ABBA who won Eurovision a few days ago with Waterloo."
ABBA took part in the finale standing together behind the stars of the show including Sacha Distel.
A picture from rehearsals was used on the cover of the 1974 single release of Ring Ring/King Kong Song from Belgium. (You can tell it's from the dress rehearsal because Björn is wearing black trousers and not the silver boots he wore for the actual broadcast).
