Pop i natt = Pop Tonight or Pop This Night or Pop In The Night
(very hard to get a 100% accurate translation of this, as there’s a slight play on words involved).

The Hep Stars appeared in this programme, which, according to preliminary reports, were taped at Västerås Folkets Hus. However, in reports from the day of the broadcast, it’s stated that it was taped in the town of Karlstad.

According to an article from a year or so later, the group were dressed up. “Svenne wore a velvet jacket and a ruffled shirt. He sang Cadillac in a manner that made the wigs practically jump.”  It sounds like they were wearing late 18th Century costumes and wigs.

1. Boz (= Boz Scaggs, who spent some time in Sweden in the 1960s, before his 1970s fame)

3. Sven Ingvars
4. Merit Hemmingson’s pop jazz band
5. Shirley Ann
6. The Telstars
7. Sven Millers
8. Millie Small (of My Boy Lollipop fame).
